What it is

Issued when inspectors find unsafe work or conditions. A FULL order prohibits all work except what is required to make the site safe; a PARTIAL order prohibits certain work, or work in a particular area. Continuing work against an order draws further violations and civil penalties.

Who signs or acts on it (as the City states)

To have one lifted: correct the cited conditions, certify any outstanding ECB violations to the Administrative Enforcement Unit, request a re-inspection from the unit that issued it, pay applicable civil penalties, then contact that unit to rescind.
