What it is
Annual boiler inspection reports filed with DOB. A missing or late FILING is its own violation, separate from anything being wrong with the boiler itself — which is why a building can carry boiler violations and a perfectly good boiler. It applies by property type: residential buildings with six or more families, commercial and mixed-use buildings, and SRO dwellings. A low-pressure boiler in a residential building of five families or fewer, or one serving only its own dwelling unit, does not require an annual inspection — so a small house showing a filing here is not behind, it is out of scope.
