What it is
The penalty is challenged within 30 days of the date on the AEUHAZ NOTICE DOB mails you — a separate letter from the original summons, sent by regular mail, not the summons' own issue date. The rule gives four grounds: the immediately hazardous OATH violation was dismissed; it was downgraded to a major OR lesser violation; an acceptable Certificate of Correction was submitted within 30 days after that notice; or the violation was issued on or after May 15, 2022 at a construction site for a one- to four-family dwelling.
