Can my phone use a travel eSIM?
Two quick checks before you buy: that your phone is unlocked, and that it supports eSIM.

Is your phone unlocked?
A travel eSIM only works on a carrier-unlocked phone. On iPhone, open Settings → General → About and check “Carrier Lock” — it should say “No SIM restrictions”.
Not sure of your model? Look for the EID number in your phone settings: Settings → About — if you see an EID field, your phone supports eSIM.
